AVSub 11.1 is out

Hi all,

AVSub 11.1 is now available.

V11 is concentrating on a UI refresh, with 11 & 11.1 bringing improvements to the following screens

- Now playing
- Cache
- Main menu
- Media Index

In the media index, you can now switch between letters or the actual long list of all artists.

All views have new graphics which are optimized for both 2x and 3x retina screens.
Also, iPad gets a size appropriate view, balancing screen real-estate with size.

I'm currently working on 11.2, which will bring refreshed UI for general folder browsing.

As noted in the other post - after either upgrading or a fresh install the UI on a 6 PLUS shows no menu items so you cant navigate or do anything after the last update.

What version of iOS are you using?

What happens if you rotate to landscape?

I don't have 6 Plus. but in the 6 plus simulator it's ok.

I'm having the same issue on a 6, running iOS 8.1. AVSub 10 worked fine, and I haven't made any changes to the phone since.

Hope you can figure it out. 11 looks fantastic!

I wonder if the issue is iOS8.1?

I can only test on 8.4 or 7.3, the latest versions of the OS versions that Apple supports.

Can you upgrade?

Any chance that AVSub might support FLAC files on the iPhone? So far, the only iOS app that will let me play FLAC files is iSub. I seem to remember that iSub uses a different music player, which is how it can support FLAC. I much prefer the UI for AVSub, so I'm hopeful it's something you might be able to do eventually.

I'd love to add FLAC support but AVSub uses a 3rd party audio API that doesn't support it.

However, I'm going to look at other options for FLAC very soon. iSub uses a different audio library to AVSub, and it's not free. The licensing cost is prohibitive, so I'm afraid I can't use that one.

Glad to know FLAC support is on the roadmap!

For now, I'll continue to use iSub when I want to listen to my FLAC files, but I much prefer AVSub's UI and features so I look forward to a future upgrade when I can use AVSub for everything.
