m4a Apple purchased songs don't play

Postby fatcat46 » Wed Apr 15, 2015 2:11 pm

I am using Subsonic version 5.2.1 (build 4428) on new Raspberry PI2. I cannot play any m4a files.

How do I fix this.

Thanks

hello the ffmpeg is not working!
you need to install ffmpeg from repository e create a link to the subsonic ffmpeg folder,
follow this steps in your raspberry:

cd /var/subsonic/transcode/
tar -pczf transcode_backup.zip transcode
sudo rm /var/subsonic/transcode/ffmpeg

sudo apt-get install ffmpeg
sudo ln -s /usr/bin/ffmpeg /var/subsonic/transcode/ffmpeg

update subsonic webpage (f5) and now it will just works! :D

to use a multitrhead cpu working set transcoding to:

mp3: ffmpeg -i %s -map 0:0 -b:a %bk -v 0 -f mp3 -threads 4 -
flv: ffmpeg -ss %o -i %s -async 1 -b %bk -s %wx%h -ar 44100 -ac 2 -v 0 -f flv -vcodec libx264 -preset superfast -threads 4 -
mkv: ffmpeg -ss %o -i %s -c:v libx264 -preset superfast -b:v %bk -c:a libvorbis -f matroska -threads 4 -
