Maximum Memory limit?

I am running:
Subsonic Premium
5.3 (build 4569) – October 25, 2015
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.8.0_31, Windows 7 (91.0 MB / 141.2 MB)

On Windows 7-64 with 16g ram. AMD FX8350. I have a library around 170K songs of mostly flac. I had the memory limit set to 1500 MB for a long time with no problems. A couple weeks ago I noticed that the service wouldn't start unless I lowered the memory limit to less than 1000mb. Right now I have it at 999 and it is running. If I increase that number to 1000, the service won't start. I did a complete reinstall of subsonic with out any change in the behavior.

I haven't had any performance issues at 999 mb currently. I'm just curious what changed and why there would be a limit.
