video not found or access denied

I had subsonic 5.3 installed and everything was working just fine, but saw the post for 6.0.1 and the updated UI, so I downloaded and installed it. Since my media is on a NAS, I changed the Log ON settings for the Subsonic service, but now when I try to play video (mostly mkv, but really, nothing will play) I get the message video not found or access denied. I checked the settings for all the folders, and everything was correct. I uninstalled 6.0.1 and reloaded 5.3, and now I get the same message on that one as well. No videos will play. I tried to add different transcode settings that I found online, but I'm not sure how to do it correctly and nothing I did changed the issue. I'm currently running Subsonic off of a Windows 10 box, and music streams just fine. Here are some lines of the log:

Logs don't show any error ( for me )
maybe clean you're subsonic install ( purge all config, db and app and reinstall it )

can't actually help you in this way , but Sindre sayd "big improvement in videos streaming" in next beta release !

Maybe this will fix you're problem !

I'm having the same problem except it only seems to be with mkv files. I upgraded to the beta, didn't like the new conversion requirements, so I reinstalled 5.3, but now mkv files give me a "video not found or access denied" error when trying to play them in a desktop web browser with jwplayer. They work fine on my android phone though...... Can anyone help ? I have the mkv to flv conversion setting in my transcode settings as outlined on this page: http://www.subsonic.org/pages/transcoding.jsp

Just FYI, I ended up completely deleting my whole subsonic server set up and re-installing it with 5.3 and got it to work again. I had to re-set up all the user profiles, folders, settings, etc ... but at least it works.
