WARNING: Upgrade for 6.0 failing on Windows

I have been upgrading this version on this windows 2012 r2 for quite some time and this is the first time I had the update actually fail.
I can repeat the failure after restoring the server subsonic dir back to the previous version.

One thing to note is the setup hangs for about 2 minutes at the start of the upgrade then continues and informs the "upgrade" was successful.
After starting the server and when I logon the setup did not upgrade but replaced the setup with a fresh 6.0 version.
I did notice the db backup dir is empty, the setup has none of the previous config and the licence is not carried forward.

If there is a debug flag for the setup I would be happy to run in debug mode to help troubleshoot.

Be forewarned the Windows setup might have issues so always backup before you attempt an upgrade!

You're the second (or third) to report this, so something IS up. FWIW I had no issues upgrading from beta 2 to 6.0 on Win 10.

fwiw - not working on the qnap either. any insight as to a possible fix?

Just had this happen as well, seems the old database is lost when upgrading and all setting will have to be reloaded
This is on Windows server 2003 going from 6.0beta2 to 6.0, as before I can restore and repeat and its the same.
Just restoring back again now for a second time, any suggestions ?

No fix yet that I am aware of.
Might try some advanced process monitor next time I try to see if I can see what it is struggling with.
I even tried running setup as "administrator" and same results.

Same problem here. OS is Windows Server 2008R2.
Hope there will be a fix in the next days...

OK no suggestions, but restoring the subsonic/db folder and re-registering seems to have brought the system back as it was, might need a bit more testing yet to be certain!

Edit: Spoke to soon Jukebox doesn't output anything sensible So back to 6.0 beta 2 till this is fixed ....

Did you upgrade using the "war" package? The reason I'm asking is that I am having some odd playback issues when streaming since the upgrade. Everything appears to have upgraded successfully, but perhaps not. My Subsonic is on my windows server 2012 r2 essentials. My issue is that clients can't play songs all the way through. That doesn't sound like your issue though.
