Subsonic 6.0 - Video and sound slide out of sync

Postby salnayil » Fri Sep 16, 2016 6:08 pm

Been running Sub since the beginning and have never had this issue. Just upgraded from 5 to 6 a couple of days ago and now all video starts to slowly lag behind the sound. I've checked the transcoding and it is the same default for audio and video that has always been there. Before downgrading back to 5 has anyone else run in to this and if so have they found a fix?

Takes about 4-6 minutes of a video and then it becomes very noticeable. Also, there is a slight "jump" in the sound every 10 seconds on a video as well now. This is all playing through a web browser using the new Flowplayer video app that is in 6.

I manually down sampled a video using "optimize video for streaming?" below the new player and picked 1000kbps. The video was originally 6206Kbps. It now plays fine without audio sync issues. This leads me to believe that the video is not being transcoded not he fly anymore. Here is my video transcoding line. Anyone see an issue with it?

ffmpeg -ss %o -i %s -c:v libx264 -preset superfast -b:v %bk -c:a aac -strict -2 -f mp4 -threads 0 -

Checking the logs shows that it is putting it around 3000k. I would like to bring this down to 1500k instead.

copied from the logs starting at the file extension

..........mkv -s 1280x526 -v 0 -b:v 3000k -maxrate 3000k -bufsize 256k -flags -global_header -map 0:0 -map 0:1 -ac 2 -f mpegts -c:v libx264 -preset superfast -c:a aac -b:a 96k -strict -2 -threads 0 -copyts -
