Are there any "pickup from where device left off" settings?

Postby jade10145 » Thu Feb 23, 2017 8:14 pm

Hi All,

So I was wondering if there is a sync feature between devices specifically when it comes to playing a song from the point where it last left off.

In this reddit post it specifically mentions this functionality in subsonic. But I have looked all over the web interface (as an admin) and looked in the android subsonic app, and searched the forums and I cant find anything. I'm hoping someone can tell me how to use this feature or if it actually exists.

Not sure how much info you need on the server I am running but I can tell you it's at 6.0 on Debian Jessie.

Thank you in advance.

The android app Dsub does what you want, however the web page does not. In the next release of subsonic i belive it is going to be implemented

The API supports that currently (if not as efficiently as the 6.1 bookmarks are supposed to) with "play queue". You can see it in the web view in the "More Actions" part of the player at the bottom.

Some apps were updated to support it. Some weren't. As noted above, DSub for Android does. So does SubFire (however, it can't restore the exact spot within the file because FireTV's audio tag doesn't support 'seek'). SubFire is not automatic - you have to remember push a button to save your current queue and file.

I couldn't say which others do or don't. If you look on the apps page, some of them might mention it.
