With Chrome Apps being deprecated (unless you'd already installed it, it can't be installed on anything other than a Chromebook...and even then, it isn't the preferred app deployment system anymore now that Progressive Web Apps are the standard), I'm not surprised it hasn't seen any attention of late. I'm not sure if it isn't working because of a broken Chrome API no longer supported, or a broken API in more recent Subsonic servers.
In fact (just tried to get it), I can't even install it on my chromebook anymore, which leads me to think there's a broken Chrome API that it is hitting.
Is this really a feature people want - just turn it on and shuffle everything and start playing? I could add that to SubFire (maybe with a little ability to filter by music folder). I don't use that feature because I have too much variety on my box - having Pink Floyd be followed by Sesame Street is not quite how I want to spend my afternoon listening.
