Setup https: on MacOS Subsonic for remote access.

I see the instructions on the one Subsonic setup page.

I understand how to setup the port number in the .plist file for secure Web access.

The rest of the instructions are absolutely meaningless to me.

The Keystore crap, and how to get or generate a key or whatever, where to put it etc.. How to add the appropriate lines to the .plist file, etc.

Nothing worse than instructions written by people who are programmers, and not just end users.

Would someone please provide some help on how to make my subsonic server securely accessable via https: from a remote client browser?

I really need to get this setup.

For all intents and purposes, Subsonic is dead. There hasn't been a release for over two years, and the developer has been unresponsive. While you could go through the effort of getting this set up, you'd be best served by moving on to another solution. A few suggestions:

- Airsonic Advanced https://github.com/airsonic-advanced/airsonic-advanced
(a fork of Subsonic that is actively maintained; use this if you want a lateral move from Subsonic)

- Navidrome https://www.navidrome.org/
(a relatively new project; the main pro is that it supports the Subsonic API; the main caveat is that it is entirely tag based, not folder based, which is different than Subsonic, so you'll need to make sure your songs are properly tagged (e.g., using Picard)

- Jellyfin / Emby / Plex
(Google for URLs; these are more video centric solutions but also support audio; there is work to bring the Subsonic API to Emby, but as far as I know, none support it, yet)
