How to compile subsonic

Hi,

I am running subsonice on my ubuntu 9.04 server with tomcat6.

I am very new to java. In fact, I've only attempted to learn it for this modification. I am trying to modify one of the java class files from the source package.

How do I compile the class and apply that to my current install of subsonic.
