No downloads on Android

Postby Lycurgus » Tue Jan 26, 2010 2:30 am

Hi all

Installed Subsonic on my Windows 7 PC and the client on my new Motorola Droid. Got the thing configured, opened the port, created a user, and logged in with my phone.

It will see all my music and pull album art.

But it will not play any music. No matter the track I pick, I get:

Code: Select all
Error Downloading "[filename]"

/sdcard/subsonic/music/[file directory]/[filename].partial
(FileNotFoundException)

What's the deal?

Turns out when you mount the Droid in an OS, it shuts off access internally.

Doh.

Works like a charm now... assuming my ISP plays nice...

You wouldn't care to explain that would you? :D

I've installed subsonic on my Hero and PC. Sees all the music but gives the same error message as you had ..and I can't make it work it's driving me nuts!

TBH I think this app has a long way to go before Joe P has a chance of making it work!!

To be clearer - when I connect wirelessly (not on my network....I am not quite that stupid) it connects to my "server" and sees all files - just wont play them!!

Worked flawlessly for me - Set up was a piece of cake on windows 7, and when running the client on my samsung moment android phone it works great. Maybe the Android version has something to do with it? The samsung moment is still on 1.5, but then again, I thought the Hero was running Android 1.5 as well...

I've been using Subsonic for the past year and a half and I LOVE this program!! Far better than others out there, and now that there is an Android client... AMAZING!
