My m4a do'n want to play ,

i tried with faad from macports, with a link from the transcoder folder works fine with lame and flac but the faad give a loud sizzling noise.

I removed the option -x in the second step, lame transcoding.
the noise has gone, only the progress bar in the webplayer don't work
anyway sounds good now!

from the lame manual:

option -x

Swap bytes in the input file or output file when using --decode.
For sorting out little endian/big endian type problems. If your encodings sounds like static, try this first.
Without using -x, LAME will treat input file as native endian.

only one strange thing left

Postby trilhaer » Tue Feb 23, 2010 9:04 pm

it's playing very well,
but the subsonic log said this en the end off decoding a m4a file (after 99% decoding)

DEBUG InputStreamReaderThread (/var/subsonic/transcode/lame) fatal error: can't update LAME-tag frame!

somebody has a solution?
