directory structure

One suggestion/question. My subsonic is setup with multiple music folders in the settings (not the artist folders that are listed, but the actual setup of subsonic where I tell it the location on the hard drive of the media). Some of the folders are music locations and some are movies and TV shows that I have setup to stream with subsonic. The web interface gives me the option to select which folder I'm looking through at the top of the left panel, to avoid seeing both music and movies combined in one huge list, (Usually "all folders" or "music" in my case). With SubAir, I see all of my music and movies in one big list. Is there a way to select media from one of those locations at a time so that I only see my music?

Again, awesome app :)

Same problem! My directory structure is: Genre\artists\albums\track's

Great stuff!

1. i can look into this

2. if the user doesnt have permission, the download will error out, but currently there is not error handling for this.

3. yeah, this has been mentioned previously.

Not sure I understand this, but if the user does not have permission to download in subsonic, then the user will not be able to download from subair. Currently subair does not handle the error gracefully, but the download will not be successful.

The file does not actually download. If you attempt to play the file nothing will happen. Subair currently just doesnt handle the error gracefully.

I just re-tested this, and i have found one bug that allows downloads, and this will be fixed in the next release.

The way around the download permissions is
1. user A with permission logs in and navigates to a directory
2. without navigating away for current directory, user B logs in
3. User B will be able to download for the current directory, but only if the directory has not be changed.

Other than that, a user without permissions will not be able to successfully download a file or directory. It will appear to be successful, but the file will not be playable.

I tried to access subsonic through SubAir today outside of my network, using both IP and dyndns address. I get this error:
Code: Select all
The trial period is over. Please donate to get a license key.

Any clues? I did try out the subsonic.org dyndns service but decided to stick with dyndns instead, and the trial as expired so I don't know if something's wrong here..

Hi,

Certain "premium" features of Subsonic requires a license key which you get by donating to the Subsonic project (this can be done from subsonic.org or click the red heart icon in the Subsonic web interface).

These features include:
- No ads in the web interface.
- Your personal name.subsonic.org address.
- Unlimited use of third-party clients (Android, iPhone, AIR)
- Access to future features, like video streaming.

The license key is valid for all future versions of Subsonic.

Hope this helps,
Sindre

It's not that Subair itself is a premium feature, the API that Subair and the Android and iPhone apps use to connect is considered a premium feature.
