Can't access Settings > Network

Hello everyone,

I am unable to access Settings > Networks even though I am logged into my subsonic account with admin privileges. In order to even find a link to Networks, I must first click on "the "Subsonic Premium" link under the Settings Menu, where there's a link. I receive "Access denied: Sorry, you are not authorized to perform the requested operation."

I am running Subsonic Premium , version 6.1.beta2 (build dc75a2) - March 20, 2017. I'm running the server on a Mac. I receive a similar error on other versions.

Further to my post above. It looks like my admin account has no admin privileges, which is why I can't see the network settings. Does anyone know what may have caused this and how to get admin privileges back?

Do you still have the password for the setup "admin" account?
I would try that first and reset your login account permissions.

Could just be a cookie issue in your browser.
Try a incognito session to see if fresh cookies fix it.

I tried accessing subsonic in an incognito session to see if cookies happened to be the issue. Still no luck. And the admin account I referred to is the 'admin' account -- not one that just has admin privileges.

So somehow the 'admin' account has no admin privileges!

Hi everyone,

After trying many things, I ended up doing a complete reinstall of subsonic. Everything works now, but I'm still unsure how the probably came about in the first place.

I'm experiencing the same issue. I have seemingly lost administrator privileges and am unable to administer the Subsonic server. I am no longer able to access 'Settings'. I've been looking on this forum for some solution, but outside of reinstalling Subsonic I'm not finding anything. I don't know what caused this issue or whether it will happen again in the future.

And as by magic we're supposed to know on what OS Subsonic is running and what the errormessages in your logfiles are.
Provide some information if you really want some help.
