National characters in directories and filenames

Postby vaxmaster » Thu May 17, 2007 5:52 am

The directories (album or artist names) with national characters are not listed in subsonic and mp3 filenames are not listed in the tag editor. Why that?

I have the same problem - is there allready a solution or a tip how to solve it? Maybe another encoding type or something like this...

Found the solution, it's a encoding problem

you must edit the web.xml and change the UTF-8 encoding param to ISO-8859-1.

All my songs are now found and subsonic diplay the french characters.

Now subsonic is fully functional in my environment (Sun Server E3500 with Solaris Express on 8 CPU's).

Thanks to the subsonic Team. :D

Which of the xml tags in the web.conf did you change? "fileEncoding" ?

Thank you!
