Hi,
Firstly i would like to thank Sindre(and all the other developers) for this great piece of software. Up until recently i was using Firefly on a Windows home server. I have recently moved onto a linux server(Fedora 12) and also discovered Subsonic along the way. It seems superior to Firefly and i decided to give a try few days ago. It all seems to have gone well and no errors encountered while installing it and server is up and running in many ways, however, i cant seem to get the embedded flash player(JW player) at all.
I have tried from Firefox(Fedora box), Firefox and chromium on a different box(Mint) as well as MS IE from an XP box from within my network and outside and the flash player does not start at all and clicking on the play icon does not do anything. I have tried the various players i.e web player/external player/jukebox and none of them start a playback.
I have been able to access my server's media successfully from SubAir(with mixed results ie occasional freeze) and also from the iphone app iSub. Also i am able to access other subsonic servers(A friends) and the demo site from my machines and web browsers named above without any problem and JW Player comes up every time so the issue would seem to be a problem on my side.
I have spent a substantial amount of time these last few days reading through the forums and i have not found an identical problem description/solution to follow yet.
I am running Sunsonic ver 4.2 (build 1944) – November 21, 2010
jetty-6.1.x, java 1.6.0_18, on Fedora Linux 12.
I have upgraded the JW player to 5.4 following this link: http://forum.subsonic.org/forum/viewtop ... ght=player hoping that it may fix my problem, but no joy.
I would really appreciate if anyone can help me get that sorted as i have done everything i could possible do including installing and updating to the latest java and flash plugins.
Best regards
Mini
