just one question though... is there a way to stream my music without having to use wifi? if i'm out and about, i don't always have wifi available... i understand i can use the offline feature, but what about music i haven't yet streamed? can i use my 3g network?
i've already tried to poke around some of the settings to see if i could figure it out, but maybe no such setting exists??
anyway, let me know if this is possible, if not, i recommend adding this feature in the future (if possible that is). =)
thank you

when i'm at home, and connect my droid to my wireless network, the app works great, no problems... however when i disable my wifi, and try to stream my music, it tells me there is a network error... so naturally, this is why i thought it only works when wifi is enabled and connected.
also, i just learned a little bit ago... i tried enabling wifi and connecting to another wireless network away from home, and it too gave me a network error. but when i got home and connected to my wireless network, it worked fine again.
and yes, in both cases, my computer was on and awake, if that matters, which i'm sure it does.
any thoughts?? maybe i'm missing something? =/

thank you folks, hopefully we can both get sorted and enjoy this great application!

@tortugalechuga: Can you tell me the specific model of netgear router? They make too many to know what to do based on brand alone. It's possible that the automatic UPnP port forwarding is not working even though it thinks it is. If you are trying to access your *.subsonic.org address on your local network it will still go out to your public internet address so it's basically the same as accessing it over 3G. Not sure why it was working before on your last router.
I know how frustrating this port forwarding stuff can be. Unfortunately, every router does it differently and some are more of a pain to setup than others. It's the step that either sets you back a week, or just works right away.
