Where is the playlist data stored? Can't restore playlist.

Postby visserj » Sun Jan 27, 2013 12:24 am

Hi - I've been working on this for a few hours - trying different ways to restore data following an upgrade from 4.7 beta 3 to 4.7.

Eventually I've given up and have now restored most of my data by manually running by backed-up subsonic.script through the http://<subsonic>/db.view utility.

My playlists are now showing up in Subsonic - but they have no files - clicking on them gives a "playlist empty" result.

Does anyone know where the actual file list data is stored - I can't see it anywhere in the database.

Or maybe you have some tips about how to restore user data when going from 4.7 beta to 4.7 (I've tried copying db/ folder and the subsonic.properties files - but I get 503 error and "MEDIA_FILE" java error). But I'm nearly there using this manual approach now - just the actual playlist data to go...

thanks
Jon

As far I can see the actual media files are listed in playlist_file table.
But the media files are listed by media file ID - so not too helpful :(
Everyone is entitled to be stupid, Image but some abuse the privilege!

Due to the confusion from too many genres of music, we have decided to put both country music and rap music into the genre of Crap music.

I see - thanks for the tip...

But I can't find any INSERT statements for that table in my backup script - any idea how this table is supposed to get filled during a normal upgrade?

I use "update media_file set present=true where present=false". That seems to fix the empty playlist bug. I run it every night using cURL in a batch file.
