Accessing remote desktop via sftp

Hi,

I'm currently running Subsonic under Windows XP on computer A and my music folder is on computer B.

I usually get access to it using Sftp with Sftpdrive, which mount my remote folder as a Z:\ drive.

The problem is that, even if I write Z:\music, which actually seems like a local drive and every other software consider it like that, it can't work out, just like when you try with other kinds of remote folder (Windows shares for example).

I'm administrator of computer A with full rights so the Subsonic service properties won't change anything for me.

Any idea about how to make it right ?

Thanks,

If computer b is a Windows PC and the music is in a file share you should be able to get it to work by mapping //comutername/Sharename instead of the mapped drive number.

That is what I had to do to get it to work.

Subsonic service runs in the system context, not your user's context.

See this for info about setting username/pw on the subsonic service.
