Stream Music - Single Stream - Multiple Endpoints

Hi,

Im new to Subsonic and clearly see this a great application, but am looking to find out just what this means--
"You can stream to multiple players simultaneously, for instance to one player in your kitchen and another in your living room. "

Ive seen several different posts and answers, plus different websites reviewing subsonic giving conflicting responses. I did find one post suggesting something like this:

setting the player up for external player w\without playlist
pointing the endpoint that is playing the subsonic stream to http://<Subsonicserverip:port>/stream?player=<playername>

when I tried it I either didnt get any media playing but saw the current song (free substream (not isub) app for itouch seems to have frozen) or when I tried it in winamp and connecting from another computer it played the same song but the streams were not in sync. Am I doing something wrong?

I would just like some clarification on whether or not subsonic can indeed stream the same media simultaneously (synchronized) to multiple endpoints (im not looking for instructions on setting up different players accessing similar media with independent streams - just to be clear). I apologize in advance if there is an FAQ on how to do this and i missed it.

Any help is appreciated
C

I've seen this question asked a few times. To the best of my knowledge, ther is currently no way to play the same stream simultaneously to different players. If there is a way to do it, I'd like to know how as well.

The capability to stream in unison to multiple devices would be awesome.

+1 for this request. Blast some tunes in sync all around the house.
