Are there any plans to add support for "Groups" or should I look into switching to Madsonic if I need that feature ?

# New: Added play overlay button in cover art images.

I hate it. Really! Please make this an opt-out. I like the cover art nice and clean.

Yup. I also second this request. Folder and file names is a much better approach to managing a music repository. In particular because the metadata often are not complete or not existing at all. I would like to file a feature request for this to come back or as an option.

I just don't understand why sindre always seems to ignore this request without even acknowledging we've mentioned it...

I think the last update is quite a long time ago. I really have to except a lot of changes. This "endless DLNA expanding issue" should get fixed. Also the lyrics source should be changed.

It would be nice if ALL newly added features were made optional and under control of the admin. There are still long-time core users frustrated over the shift from folder to tag sorting, and there is still no feedback on if this will ever get addressed.

I'm all for new stuff - but not if it kills something a user likes that already works.

Well I totally disagree about folder browsing. I have a lot of classical music of different groups doing the same piece of music (I have over 15 versions of Bach's St Matthew Passion alone) and it would be so very nice to be able to browse by album, genre, composer, conductor, etc. Tags makes this possible. Folder structure browsing is limited to one variable, the power for managing large collections is in a tag based database.

Well that is why it should be a option. Everyone disagrees about which one is best.

I was NOT advocating for either method. You prefer using tags. There are users that would rather use folders. I don't care either way. The point was, I think the owner of the site should have the choice to use either or, especially when the application was originally organized using folder structure and some users went to great lengths and invested a lot of time in refining their library based on how the program was originally designed.

My suggestion is that whenever a new feature or structural change is made by the developer, it would be much nicer if using it was optional and at the discretion of the site admin, rather than just being a unilateral change imposed on everyone by the developer. Especially true when such a major structural shift leaves a loyal user with the choice of completely redoing his library or just accepting that he can no longer upgrade.

Found a problem with the password recovery page. Some browsers are not displaying the captcha due to errors while loading the page. I have pasted the error from the console below. It appears to affect users using HTTPS. The captcha api url needs to reference the secure link link and not the non-secure http url. The browser doesn't load the captcha and users are presented with a error when trying to reset their passwords. Can this be corrected?????

From console in browser:
The page at 'https://10.0.0.3/recover.view' was loaded over HTTPS, but ran insecure content from 'http://api.recaptcha.net/challenge?k=6LcZ3OMSAAAAANkKMdFdaNopWu9iS03V-nLOuoiH': this content should also be loaded over HTTPS.

With this beta release, I am seeing the following when an iSub client is listening.

[8/19/14 6:49:33 PM EDT] INFO PlayQueueInputStream admin listening to "Travelogue_ Blues Traveler Classics\17-Just for Me.mp3"
[8/19/14 6:49:33 PM EDT] DEBUG TranscodeInputStream Starting transcoder: [c:\subsonic\transcode\ffmpeg] [-i] [m:\music\CD\Blues Traveler\Travelogue_ Blues Traveler Classics\17-Just for Me.mp3] [-map] [0:0] [-b:a] [128k] [-v] [0] [-f] [mp3] [-]
[8/19/14 6:49:42 PM EDT] INFO PlayQueueInputStream admin listening to "Travelogue_ Blues Traveler Classics\16-Canadian Rose.mp3"
[8/19/14 6:49:42 PM EDT] WARN RESTFilter Error in REST API: EofException
[8/19/14 6:49:42 PM EDT] ERROR JAXBWriter Failed to marshal JAXB
[8/19/14 6:49:42 PM EDT] ERROR RESTFilter Failed to write error response.

Don't know if this is an iSub or Subsonic problem.
