Song counter disappeared

Since I installed v3.9 weeks ago the song counter display is missing. Rescan is done everyday for 200,000+ songs on 3 to 4TB disk space. The last time I've seen it was 5000 songs which shown after abnormal termination of scanning. Also it seems search system became unstable after v3.9. It used to show all the files I search for but now it only shows part of it.
Are there anyway to get the functions back? I wouldn't mind trying clean installation only if I can keep user login/pass.

Make sure you've allocated enough memory for Subsonic. If it's too low, that's one of the first things to disappear (in my experience).

how do i allocate more memory for subsonic on a mac?

Change "-Xmx64m" to "-Xmx100m" in /Applications/Subsonic.app/Contents/Info.plist. This will change the memory limit from 64 to 100 MB.
