Cannot Connect To Localhost

Postby Skrybe » Wed Apr 21, 2010 2:51 am

Yup. I kept looking for a topic like this, but who knows how far back I'd have to go to find the answer to this one. Hey! That easy step, where you just click the link that takes you to http://localhost and you adjust your setttings? Yeah, that didn't work for me. It can't establish a connection to the server at http://localhost . So ... now what do I do?

BTW, I'm running Windows Vista, connected directly to my ISP's modem.

Unless you set it up to run on port 80 just going to http://localhost will not work. You need to specify the port. If you're on a Mac type http://localhost:4040 if you're on Linux (and I think Windows) type http://localhost:8080

Also you can try http://127.0.0.1:4040 or http://127.0.0.1:8080

127.0.0.1 = localhost

EDIT: and of course make sure that you're doing this from the computer with Subsonic installed ;)
