subsonic not updating my library

Doesn't Subsonic automatically update my music library as I add new folders?

The only way I've been able to update the library is to go to Settings, delete the folder and then add the folder back again.

It seems like I shouldn't have to go through all that....

To clarify, I meant: add new music folders to my music library folder

You need to go to Settings/Search and manually rescan ("update search index now") after you add the folders, and set the auto-scan for a convenient time if you like. It's not a live re-scan as you add folders. I have a fairly large library and manually scanning is very fast...maybe because it's just looking at folders and not id3 tags?
