isub app issues

I have installed the isub app and for the most part it works great. I have check everything that i can think of but if i choose the album tab at the bottom it just says loading and never brings up a list of albums.

Does anyone know why this happens with both the album tab and the songs tab?

If you have a very large collection it can take a while for those pages to load. To speed it up, try only loading just the albums or just the songs page rather than both at the same time. There is no way around the long load times for very large collections because Subsonic does not support an easy way to list all albums or all songs. For the all albums view I have to literally ask Subsonic to list each and every artist's albums for me one artist at a time and for all songs I have to ask it to send me 1000 songs at a time until it has sent them all. Depending on the number of artists and total number of songs, this can take upwards of 20 minutes for each list in extreme cases (usually it's just a couple minutes or a few seconds for smaller collections).

To counter this, in version 2.1 which is in review in the App Store right now (I got the email this morning that it changed from waiting for review to in review), the artists, albums, and songs lists are persistent between app uses so you just have to load them once and they'll load almost instantly from then on unless you manually refresh them. Look out for the upgrade sometime later today unless they reject it for some reason.

I have about 25,000 tracks and the app seems to be struggling with it. Since I tried loading the songlist it just keeps crashing. Any ideas?

So, how big is 'big'?

These are my stats:
9,239 artists
3,835 albums
47,113 songs
338.44 GB (~ 5,257 hours)

I let the iSub app run for over an hour with no apparent progress on the Album listing.
Since I use MediaMonkey to manage everything, I can reorganize easily (if not quickly).
Is there any 'better' file structure for performance?
All tracks are in a NAS folder and Subsonic is just pointed at the top level.
Should I break that up?
Can I import the db into my jailbroken iPhone to accelerate the process?

*UPDATE*
Let the server settle in a bit, re-indexed, and this morning some of the Albums loaded.
It's also lost most of the Artists, showing 715, even after several Reloads... Aaargh.
