Subsonic Log Files (Debian)

Postby wakajazz » Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:59 pm

How do I cut back on the amount of logging, set max log size or configure log rotation? I see that the logs, /var/subsonic/subsonic.log in particular are growing at an alarming rate. My /var partition only has so much free space :)

Thanks

I use logrotate to rotate the log

create a new file in /etc/logrotate.d/subsnoic with the following content:

Code: Select all

/var/subsonic/*log {
    missingok
    notifempty
    sharedscripts
    postrotate
        /sbin/service subsonic restart > /dev/null 2>/dev/null || true
    endscript
}

I am running subsonic on centos. You need to update the above slightly for other flavour of linux system.
