Had it working at one time, now I can't for the life of me..

Postby ladysiouxkea » Sat May 01, 2010 4:14 pm

I'm not completely computer stupid, but this sure is making me feel that way. I had installed and had working on my Droid this whole set up. My laptop died, I got a new one, paid for the license to get subsonic, tried to set up everything again on my new laptop and CANNOT get this to work! Everything looks good except when I test from the computer, I keep getting this message:

Status: xxxxxx.subsonic.org is registered, but could not connect to it. (ConnectTimeoutException)

My port is set to 80, no error messages there. I cannot access my music from my Droid either. It gives me an error message A network error occurred. Retrying 1, 2, 3, and 4 of 4. Then the message of Socket is not connected.

Any ideas? Like I said, I'm not computer stupid, but feel free to give me directions like I am. Would this have anything to do with having set up the original account on another computer? I have checked the IP address, etc, but again, any direction will be appreciate before I have to tank this whole mess... driving me nuts... shouldn't be this hard!!

Much peace...

Tammy

PS - Don't know if this will make any difference...

but this is what is showing on my home page...

http://192.xxx.1.5/XXXXX.subsonic.org/index.view

This is my correct IP address so I don't know why this is not working... should it even look like that because I can also see that page from

http://localhost/XXXXX.subsonic.org

Any ideas?!

Thank you!

In case you havent already "tank this whole mess", the adress to access subsonic on the computer it is running on (with default settings in subsonic for context path) is
http://localhost
If it is set to port 80 and context path /, which is the default.

If you need more help setting this up for remote access feel free to ask :)

It's showing your trial is expired. Start Subsonic per usual, and click the 'Donate' link on the upper right..it will lead you to a box to fill in your registration number you retrieve from your email. :)
