Boxee App

Postby JBDive » Fri May 07, 2010 5:17 pm

I have no clue how hard it is to code a Boxee app but I'd love to be able to quickly access my media while inside the Boxee wrapper at times. Maybe I'm the lone one here since Boxee is aimed at video.

Actually I think I would use this too. I might take a look into this later.

I've got to start programming again I guess. Long time since Basic, guess I can get back into the mindset.

I would greatly enjoy a subsonic app for boxee, and would donate again towards it no problem! I am coming up on a year with using your software and just want to say it is absolutely great and fits my needs perfectly.

With Pandora out there you would think this wouldn't be too hard to do. Damn I wish I knew how to code.

I second that I would donate to the cause if that would help.

Does anyone have some ideas on interface design for the Boxee? putting the API calls behind the interface can be done but a good user interface for Subsonic would be a good first step.

I'm an avid xbmc user but have to say, since xbmc is designed to stream media, what is the point of a subsonic app? Or is it more for an xbmc system that is remote and a way to stream music from a remote location?

The current music playback on the boxee is kind of an afterthought and needs serious work, subsonic already does basically everything a music player should and does it extremely well. The problem is even using the boxee browser does not work with subsonic if there were some way to get even that far that would be wonderful!

I would love a boxee app as well! I actually found this thread because I was searching for a way to access subsonic through the boxee browser. I don't know that there's anything I could really do, but I'd be willing to help in any way that I can.
