is it possible to upgrade?

I have just downloaded the lastest release and was wondering if i can upgrade 3.9 to the latest without having to reconfigure everything.

yes, just overwrite:
subsonic-booter-jar-with-dependencies.jar
subsonic.war

and start subsonic, your settings will remain unchanged

How about the WAR version, how to upgrade without loosing all users and settings.

just replace subsonic.war and start subsonic :)
