Download error

Postby tedlinko » Mon Apr 19, 2010 6:32 pm

Hi, I am using (at least trying to use) Subsonic with my new MyTouch Android phone and the android client. The server is running Windows Vista.

After a lot of problems figuring out Port Forwarding, I finally have the server address pointed to http://externalIP:8080 and I am able to connect to the sever and access lists of my music. When I select an artist and song (or a whole album) often it wills start to play the first song. However, soon, the status bar at the top of the screen starts blinking "Error Downloading 'songname.'"

Eventually I get an error message in a box saying "error downloading 'songname' /sdcardsubsonic/music/artistname/albumname-songname.mp3.partial (FilenotFoundException).

however, the thing is that sometimes, while it is displaying the message this exact song is playing, so seems like it can't really be that it can't find it. Seems more like it can't properly download it.

The worst part is that it continually tries to download over and over in a loop. Even if I shut down Subsonic, when I start it up again it goes back and has the same error again.

Anyone have any suggestions? Great concept and seems like a great program if I could just get it running properly.

This is a major problem with the Android App. The only real issue I have with it. It's irritating that there seems to be no way to stop this other than to kill the apps and if I leave it unchecked for any length of time it scrobbles the error track over and over again to my last.fm profile.
