Access or dump the database from outside of subsonic?

Postby Gonzo » Thu Jun 10, 2010 6:44 am

I would like to be able to access the database from outside subsonic, a dump of the data would be fine. Does anyone know a handy tool to dump a HSQLDB?

Thanks in advance

Have a look at the sqlite home page.
http://www.sqlite.org/
on linux you'll find the sqlite database file in:
Code: Select all
/var/subsonic/db

You can access the subsonic db by going to http://yourserver/db.view?

You can do most SQL commands from there. You can copy and paste the results of the Select * from TABLENAME into Excel or something if you really need to do work outside of subsonic.

There are a few hsqldb shareware apps out there with a 30 day free trial, but once you know the table names there is nothing you can't just do in the db.vew

Below are the tables I am aware of:
custom_avatar
internat_radio
music_file_info
Music_folder
Player
Player_transcoding
podcast_channel
podcast_episode
role
system_avatar
transcoding
user
user_rating
user_role
user_settings

Great! Just perfekt for me, just what I needed (needed to get some comments (for directories) from a backup...

Thanks a lot :D

Great, didn't know that.

Maybe you could write something about that in the wiki?
