wap address on blackberry

Postby iamvoodoo » Fri Jun 11, 2010 2:40 am

Hi all. I started using subsonic about a week ago and I love it. Everything was very easy to set up, almost. My only problem I'm having is I can't connect to my wap address. I have tried all I can think of. I am running version 4.01 on a home desktop that is port forwarded to port 80. My router is the linksys wrt54g. As I said earlier everything else works fine. I can connects inside my network and outside my network through the internet. I don't know what could be going wrong. Also I am not really sure I am typing the correct wap address. I have tried quit a few.

Yes! I can connect to my regular site with my blackberry but it will not play anything. I have a blackberry pearl. Thanks!

i used to have a Pearl, now I have a Storm. The Pearl may or may not be your problem..... i only say that because I have issues with playing streaming media on my pearl. I'm not sure what else can be done, only other thing I can say is check your setting on the Pearl to see if something on the internet side is/isn't checked (I always allowed everything to go through my Pearl). Who is your provider?

Same here, so that shouldn't be the issue. Only thing I can think of is the internet settings on the phone.... sorry couldn't have been more helpful.

I can get the WAP streaming on my BB Curve but it drops out a lot sometimes and plays the song flawlessly some other times. I think the problem might be the capabilities of the Curve to buffer the stream because I have no problem playing this the web. I even tweaked the bitrate to 128 to see if that would help but no good, still not worth listening to on the Curve.

Anyone having luck w. this on the EVO?
