When I right click on the subsonic tray icon and select open subsonic in browser, I get the unable to connect window. Why is this happening. I just installed subsonic and this is my first time trying to use it.

There could be any number of reasons why subsonic isn't working for you. You'll need to provide more detail than that if you want useful help.

As a starting point you need to at least specify.

Operating system: e.g. windows

Contents of the logs:
Subsonic keeps log files in its subsonic installation directory. Have a look through 'subsonic.log' to see if there is a problem.

My guess is you're probably using windows and one of the following has happened.

1. You haven't started the subsonic service. In which case start it.
2. You've started the subsonic service but the port you've tried to start it on is in use.
3. You've started the subsonic service but your local firewall is blocking it. In which case tell your firewall to allow the subsonic application to use that port.
4. You're pointing your browser to the wrong address.
