My first impressions:

It looks awesome no doubt about that. Way better than the boring presentation of subsonic.

I'm not that fond of the user interface, yet. That's probably because it's not working perfectly and your still changing things.

The things that don't work correctly in my opinion:
when i want to play a song or add it to the playlist i automatically want to click the name of the song. But only the buttons before the name have functionality. You should add some functionality when you click on the name, i should say: add it to the playlist.

How do i add an album to the playlist? I found out I can drag an album to the playlist, but it won't do anything. (maybe this is a problem of my system)

The search functionality looks better than in subsonic (yay! autocomplete :D ), but I don't like that I have to press a button to open a new window in which i can search. I'd like that in the main screen. Maybe in the right top corner? For a jukebox it's a common action that someone wants to search for a song, and I couldnt find the search functionality quickly enough.

When I press the play button before a song, it takes about a second to load before the song starts playing. Maybe that's a jplayer issue?

So far my first impressions. Maybe i find something more later on. It's working quite well all ready. Keep up the good work!

ok to fix memory and get stuff working, you only need to replace "\" with "/" on includes, because that doesn't work in linux. now opera is stable at 210MB~ for around 10 minutes.

only thing not working yet is the list with songs - but if you search it finds songs

next thing which is not mentioned anywhere is jukebox/boxjuke thingie.

so for now: opera & IE ok, playlist empty, impossible to find movies or play file even from search list (nothing happens).

and it is harder to debug, logs show nothing special regarding above noted problem.....

I got the same problems with IE (didn't test Opera). I'm using windows 7 professional 64bit. Firefox works fine. (used that for my previous posts)

The freezing issue has to do with the Accordion for Jquery, looking for a fix.

Do you mean a right click context menu? That can be done.
I've added a bind to add/play when you double click on a track for the mean time. The new code is up on the google site below.

Click the Icon on the left of the album name and it should add it to the playlist. If you are talking about subalbums(ones below the main tree), I added code to make the Icon actually function in rev2 on the google code site, check it out here

Originally I had it up in the top corner but took it away because the search function wasn't even working yet, I'll see what I can do to put an input box up there.

Exactly, in some browsers it might play near instantly, in firefox it seems to freak out, I've tried 5 different versions of jw player and getting it to autoplay in firefox at all(while not breaking the duration slider) is a feat in itself.

jukebox/boxjuke is the subsonic login I use to login to the my subsonic server, you would swap it out with a username/pw you have created for subsonic while installing it, that it most likely the problem you are experiencing with it not loading any folders to the left side.

For movies to play you have to add the flv > avi transcoder in the transcoders section in the actual subsonic settings page. Info on that is here, just do a search for 'avi'. Once you do that, goto the subsonic player settings and check that the flv > avi filter is enabled.

To answer your previous comment, you should not include http:// for the SQL server address, just use localhost, or the hostname of the server

you don't need to tell me what to do, because I've described the steps I did do :) I changed user and still no songs in list on left menu. That is also for movies, they are not retrieved from subsonic of something - but I can find songs via search option. Transcoding is not the question here..

Hi all,

I installed the supersonic and it's ... super !

Ok -> []

Burjast : For your problem, its related to the DB. Actually, Supersonic don't create correctly, it's own config. (I suspect DB request to be buggy)

In the DB, in table config, the field music and video are empty foreach path existing in your subsonic server. If you have a music folder, put 'true' in music and 'false' in film and vice versa for film. After that you should see your music library.

Brett : If you paste your code on svn repository, I could, if you accept, submit you some patches.
For me (on Linux) chat don't work and the conception way is a little complicated (call to subsonic is not really clean, I find).
Bug report of lrtpouget are mine :)

And finally, I'm not a native english speaker, so if you didn't understand anything, shame on me and I will try to be more accurate.

PS : It's out of subject but I find a soft to sort my library under a folder structure :pytagsfs
Did you know it ? and What's your opinion ? I am thinking about a subsonic support.

I actually ran into this problem(setting / retrieving) to this db after or during creation, but it was random.

I put the code up on the svn

I had not heard about it until you mentioned it. The idea of having a dynamic virtual directory structure would be good, but I think a cross platform solution might be difficult to implement. It shouldnt be hard to make it work with subsonic, all subsonic would need is the virtual directory path. This is definitely a cool idea.

ok, now i see movies, but :P

when i choose Music, i can see music and video files
when i choose Videos, i can see only videos

in subsonic i have enabled only music and videos folder.

music now works, only videos don't. subsonic passes correctly videos but jwplayer cannot play them, when you choose settings they are frozen (don't know why) - they work under IE but nothing special there, IE doesn't work at all. So the debugging continues :)

Just added this in the rev4 release, not sure what to put in place of the original search button in the top left, something will come up.

For the bug of empty Music and Video field, it's because no post request are made. So the GET receive default value of : 0, true, true except there is noone row with id of 0 :S That's mean no DB update.

I think I may have fixed the folder bug (r5), I added a rescan button which would wipe the config table and grab a new set of folders from Subsonic for you to configure. Let me know
