Cannot connect to site

Postby Darksthour » Fri Aug 13, 2010 7:47 pm

Every time i try to change my network settings to access the server over the internet i get an error saying the site is registered, but it could not connect to it (ConnectTimerException). I have set my IP settings to a static address and the port says its successfully forwarding. I even turned off my firewall to see if that was the problem... it wasn't. I don't know what to do or what the error message means. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to use this app on my phone.

Are you able to connect to subsonic from inside your local network?

Try checking if your Subsonic port is forwarded correctly. Go to You Get Signal's port forward tester and change the port from 80 to your Subsonic port. (4040 usually). If the port isn't correctly forwarded, the UPnP is most likely not working and you will need to forward the port manually.

Also, if you use Subsonic for more than 30(?) days without a license, the APIs for mobile streaming apps will no longer work.

Cheers,
Kirk
