Chat feature not working 4.0.1

I'm hoping someone can help with this. I have the war version of subsonic installed on a sles11 box. Everything works great (lyrics, search, album art, playing), but chat doesn't work at all. I type something in the box and hit enter, and the message disappears but doesn't show up anywhere. Messages just go nowhere! Any ideas? Thanks!

Issue resolved by reloading the server.

Interesting. I wonder if it didn't properly create its database file the first time or something... Was this the first run of Subsonic or did the problem just appear, then disappear out of nowhere?
