Playback breaks on cached music.

Postby JoshuaPerlson » Fri Sep 24, 2010 2:56 pm

I have an EVO running 2.2 and I have Subsonic installed and working with my Mac at home. While listening to streaming or cached music I get plenty of breaking/skipping in my songs. This happens over Wifi, 3G and 4G. I've played with the settings (ie number of songs to cache, cache size) and nothing seems to work. I've looked through the forums and haven't found anything like this issue. Someone please help.....I've been using Orb and I just switched to Subsonic which blows Orb out of the water...but only if I can fix this issue.

I'm having the same problem. It's like thehone can't handle subsonic or something. its more like the phone is lagging during playback than there is anything wrong with the file. something seems buggy in the app. please fix! I will post debug logs if you need.

Can we get this moved to the help forum so that someone might pay attention?

Try turning the virus checker off, presuming you are running Windows..MS

Check how much room you have on your SD card. Defrag it as well.

I have an EVO and I stream 3 different Subsonic sites with no problems. I would also suggest testing your connection to the Demo Site just to be sure it's not a problem on your server.

Sounds like a bandwidth issue to me. Try limiting the bps of the audio.
