I can see my albums but I can't play them

Hello everyone.
I can't seem to sort out this problem. I have set up subsonic on my PC (windows 7) and have set up my android phone likewise. I have a dynamic dns so I'm using yourname.subsonic.org to get round that. I believe I have forwarded the ports correctly on my router (80 and 4040).

I get the connection ok message on my phone and I can see the list of music folders on my hard drive but as soon as I try to open a folder, I get a conection timeout error.

The really confusing thing is that it has worked. I could stream a couple of tracks to my phone. But it's very irregular.

has anyone else had this problem or figured out a workaround?

Well I've had some progress.
Some of my music is on the PC hard drive. I can access that via my android phone(but with the same stuttering and restart problems that others have posted).
As for the music on my network drive, I can access the folders but I can't access the contents of the folders. Curious!
