Android App Error

Postby catoxpress » Wed Sep 29, 2010 2:21 am

I can connect to the site and browse just fine. Every time I try to "Play" a song, I get the following error:

Error Playing " song "
Prepare failed.: status=0x1
(IOException)

I'm using an Droid X with the latest version 1.7.1 of Subsonic Streaming App

Anybody got any ideas?

I have the exact same issue.

Me too (same exact error). I have the latest 1.7.1 and a Droid X (running stock Froyo 2.2).

It used to work for me on 2.1, not sure which Subsonic version I had back then.

But the music seems to browse and download just fine, just not play.

After rebooting my device it seems to go away for a while, but returns on occasion.

I thought it may have something to do with my local WiFi connection, but the problem also occurs on pre-cached songs... so I'm not sure about this.

Any other ideas? anyone?

This error message was recently mentioned on this forum thread as well. Are you trying to play MP3 or M4A? (or some other format?)

Cheers,

It happens to me while playing mp3. In case it matters it isn't being encoded first or anything.

Also it doesn't happen that often, and when it does I just have to wait a second and then press play again and it works.

Which doesn't mean that I want you to ignore this thread. I think that the other problems I'm having with Subsonic might be related. Could the cause of this be a slow SD card?

Defragment SD card.
