Album Art Order

Hi,

Just wondering if it would be possible for album art thumbnails to be ordered alphabetically... At the moment they seem to load up in the order the albums were added to SubSonic which can make quick navigation slightly awkward.

Hi Carl,

Are you referring to how albums are ordered within an artist? They are indeed meant to be listed alphabetically, like this:

Yes, that's what I was getting at. On my system the album images have always displayed in slightly random order (since I started using Subsonic at v2.6). When I add a new album to an artist folder the image for the new album usually displays last in the main view. This behaviour persists if I update the Subsonic search index.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

I see. So the list of albums is sorted alphabetically, but the images are not? What OS are you on? I don't see this on Windows.

I've added some code to ensure that the images are sorted in (the not yet released) 3.1.beta2.

That's correct. I'm just using a standard pro edition of Windows XP. I get the same effect whatever browser I use. I'll wait for the next beta and let you know if that doesn't fix the issue.
