android phone

Postby xayasitha » Wed Oct 20, 2010 5:23 am

How can I tell if my phone is able to run android apps? I have a samsung delve r800. I can give more information listed in "phone info" or elsewhere in the menu if needed. I've read some phones can run android applications/games without being an android phone. Is there any way to tell? Also, is there any way to put software on the phone?

Here is a list of all Android devices: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_android_phones

I've never heard of any non-Android phone running Android apps. Perhaps you're thinking of devices not using the "Droid" moniker (but still running the Android OS) running apps.

Short answer: no. You'll need an Android smartphone.

With only about 130MB of memory, (not SD card, memory) and a slowish processor probably no one could get android running well on this phone, and if they could it would be a very complicated process.
