.war deployment and /var/subsonic/*

I am attempting to deploy subsonic.war on a private JVM with my current hosting (http://www.mochahost.com/java.php) "business plan" . The issue I am running into is errors telling me that /var/subsonic directory does not exist. The problem is my hosting is setup such that my access is within.. /home/USERNAME/* So i clearly have no ability or access to make /var/subsonic/*. Is there any easy way for me to change it so that instead of /var/subsonic it would try to use directory /home/USERNAME/var/subsonic instead?

willing to recompile the source if someone can point me in the right direction as to what i need to change pleasE!!!!

You will need to modify the source and recompile. The home directory is in the net.sourceforge.subsonic.settings.SettingsService class. Just modify that to where you want the home directory to be and you should be good.
