For those that have bulletproof installs, naturally they want features...it's a developer conflict older than I am: 'it is what it is". :)

I'd like to know why the "quote" feature isn't working for me on the forums. Annoying, but definitely won't stop me from posting.

I want this elevated to the top!

Interesting...the code is accurate, so its something else. I was wondering why you were just copy/pasting!! :P

Truly annoying. That's it, I'm done posting. I'll take my forum participation to a site that works!

AHA! You have BBCode disabled in your profile settings, I suspect. When I went to edit your post, I noticed BBCode was disabled for yours, but not mine. :)
edit: unchecked 'Disable BBCode' on that post, and 'whallah'...

OK ... I'll hang out a little while longer.

Thanks Alphawave7!

Have you tried using the 500 setting? It works just fine for me.

My cache is 10 GB for the same reason.

I've bumped mine up as well as it's a good idea if you think you'll be without a signal for an extended time. The original dialog was primarily focused on trying to pinpoint possible causes of stuttering that some were experiencing.

It now appears that cache size is not a factor with the stuttering problem.

I have found 2 instances where the issue was poor upload speed and another where the cause was p2p blocking that was blocking the user's ISP.

I also have this problem with a droid incredible. I think the issue occurs when it starts playing a track before it's completely finished downloading. Hope that helps!

That's what I found as well, when I tested some sites that didn't have adequate upload speed.

The first track repeats on my EVO 4G no matter what, but after that I'm OK when on a site with enough bandwidth. When you get on a slow site the player will repeat the previous track if it calculates that the next track wil not be able to play to the end at the current download speed.

ver. 1.8.2 still repeats 1st track.

Online only!

Offline, queued music plays properly, i.e. first track does NOT repeat.

Go figure ... :?:

still seeing this issue, but it seems to be mainly happening when the song hasn't completely downloaded, which is in line with others' experiences.

running stock froyo 2.2 on htc incredible on verizon, subsonic v1.8.2 on phone, paid server 4.1 build 1802

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay. I'll definitely look into this issue.

It could be a bit difficult to figure out, since I'm not seeing this issue on my phones (Nexus One 2.2 and HTC Hero 2.1).

If someone could email (sindre@activeobjects.no) me the Android log from the phone when this happens, it would be most helpful.

Thanks!

The Subsonic app basically wont continue to the next song till its fully downloaded. If the next song in que is fully downloaded it wont repeat. It should instead allow the playing of the partial downloaded song next in que. I will try and provide the android.log here shortly.

@monst: Thanks, but I couldn't see anything relevant from that log.

Best thing would be to do an "adb logcat" from an attached computer, and capture everything that happens (including before the songs start playing the first time, up until it starts repeating).
