Postby pcs800 » Wed Nov 24, 2010 3:24 pm

Is it possible to set up subsonic to run from a folder within an existing domain?

I think you'er looking to do Subsonic.mysite.com.

or

Just redirect the port

mysite.com:8085 (or any port number you've set up for SS)

Correct, I have a web server running multiple domains, I obviously cannot use port 80 localhost. I do not want to use a different port because it is simply confusing for users, your typical web user doesn't know of or has never seen such things as :90 or whatever.
I would like it to install into the folder of my choice, but it might not be possible because it contains it's own web server app.

Why not just give your users a tinyurl or similar..it would last a long time before needing a refresh.

Yeah I suppose that's an option but people have a hard enough time as it is let alone if the url changes.
I suppose an easier option would be to either start a domain just for this purpose or create a redirect from somewhere else.
