I have to admit that it still does not play my music completely smoothly.
It has little pauses. I checked, and there is nothing using a huge amount of CPU when that happens, and I have plenty of free RAM. The network speed or streaming also does not appear to be an issue. I have mostly been listening to FLAC songs over WiFi (untranscoded).

On a Samsung Galaxy S i9000, 16GB international version, running Android 2.2. I know the SGS has some weird filesystem issues, but I have changed that on my phone (from RFS to Ext4), so that should not be the issue...

Any suggestions? Or any more information needed about this?

Hi goys, the sound files are still playing at half speed or so.
I'm gonna start a new thread to see if someone here can help me in the right direction.

Re: 4.2 Slow & missing Songs

pdeckert wrote:HI,

Firstly, I love SubSonic, a great product.

I have however stepped back to 4.1 as I have the following bugs in 4.2

After loading 4.2 I noticed over the last few days:

1. Significant slowing of the Web Pages
2. I have over 8,000 songs, however in 4.2 about one third seem to be missing
3. I use the Jukebox feature alot, in 4.2 I found many songs (no pattern) simply did not play, but play in 4.1. All songs are MP3.

Sub sonic lives on my windows 7 media server and runs about 16 hours a day. About 2 to 3 hours of music is played through the house daily.

I am sure it is my fault, but for now, 4.1 is working well for me.

All the best, many thanks for a great product.

PD..

UPDATE:

I have completely removed 4.1 and loaded 4.2 from scratch. All seems to be running fine now.

Again, Many thanks for a great product. :)

Problem After Upgrade

Postby WelcomedRain » Mon Nov 29, 2010 3:24 am

I posted earlier under help and have tried everything I can think of with still no luck. Subsonic has been working fine for months.

I just upgraded to Subsonic 4.2. I am running 64bit Ubuntu 10.10 and have not been able to connect to my music since the upgrade. I have checked the port forwarding on my router to make sure that still shows 4040 and it does. I am trying to use Subsonic on the desktop on which it and my music library is located (so this is not an attempt to connect remotely)... I get the following message when entering "http://localhost:4040/".... "HTTP ERROR: 404 NOT_FOUND RequestURI=/index.view Powered by Jetty://"

Any ideas/suggestions? I appreciate any help you can give... I would also like to let you know that Subsonic is the only music player I use. I use it on my iPhone, remotely at work and even on my home computers. It is a great program and a great system. Thank you.

UPDATE: I don't know why it wasn't working or what I did to get it to start working... but it has now, mysteriously started working again. Sorry to bother.
