Step 6:Go to Settings > General, and replace the content of “Music Mask” with this:

.mp3 .ogg .aac .flac .m4a .wav .wma .mpg .mpeg .avi .mkv .ogm .mp4 .divx

You must add the file extensions before SS will display them.

Man, can't believe I forgot that step. Officially humbled, but still having an issue. When I do click on the video file I get the following error message:

Video not found or Access denied:
HTTP://*IP address of my server*/Stream?player=5&pathu+F8Hex=473a

This message comes up or the loading icon appears and flashes in and out, in either instance, nothing ever happens. If you have any ideas, I would be excited to hear them. Thanks,

Can't say I've ever seen anything like that.

Do you have a seperate folder for video set up and defined? Have you checked the permissions on that folder?

What OS are you using?

It is a weird one for sure. I checked the permissions and they are all set and open. The system is running Microsoft Server 2008 32bit. It operates mainly as a workstation and would like it to pick up the media streaming role as well.

I looked into the Microsoft Media Services server roles, but have not been able to make very much sense out of their setup and implementation. If you have any ideas, please lay them on me. Thanks.
