M4A transcoding failing

Postby tumtum1088 » Thu Dec 09, 2010 6:02 pm

I can't seem to get my web player or my android app to play M4A files. I'm running the most recent versions on both. They load up album art and song length but stay at 0 when i hit play. On the android app it gives an "prepare failed.: status 0x1(IO Exception "status error. Any help would be appreciated. - Thanks , Tumtum1088

One step with a fixed bit rate (all tags transferred to MP3)

Step 1: ffmpeg -i %s -f mp3 -ar 44100 -ab 320k -ac 2 -map_meta_data 0:0 -
Step 2: none (blank)

or two step transcoding (above is a better choice)

Step 1: ffmpeg -i %s -f wav -ar 44100 -ac 2 -
Step 2: lame --preset cbr %b -S --tt %t --ta %a --tl %l - -

PP: Mark check boxes right from Step 3 and check players settings (log as admin to see all players).
