That's what happens to me as well. Two posts up I stated the the first track repeat is still an issue. Other than that were there any problems?

If the second track wasn't downloaded prior to the first track finishing, you may have 3g bandwidth issues. Have you tested your 3g speed? Do you have a good signal?

I was just streaming some 1600k vbs from Bulgaria this afternoon without having any wait time between the first and second track. You should be able to just advance manually to the next track as soon as the first track is done.

You should still do a bandwidth test to see if your getting good downlaod speed to the phone.

Sorry if you tried to connect in the last hour, my desktop shut down to install an update and because there was no activity, ny server went to sleep.

I'll take it out of sleep when inactive mode for the rest of the evening.

If you ever try to connect and it doesn't respond right away, it may be sleeping, but it is set to wake on WAN so it should always come back up after a few seconds once it gets a hit from the internet.

You shouldn't be having any trouble loading al list of music from my site and having the second track downloaded before the first track finishes.

I've got my phone streaming from Europe right now with less bandwidth than you have. Are you monitoring the download progress in the list view? Can there be other things taking bandwidth at the same time?

I just bought 3 cans of Raid, perhaps we should all see if that works.

Seriously, though... as of now 7 out of the first 12 Market comments are regarding a first song problem.

The only real difference of opinion I see is that of whether or not this is a "minor" or "major" problem. I propose we take a vote. I assume that everyone that has this problem comes back to this thread for updates. So, for everyone that has read this far, vote if YOU think it is a "minor glitch" or a "major bug". Or, if you're lazy, simply post a "minor" or "major" comment.

Terms
Minor Glitch - Means that you think it's no big deal and you should go ahead and pay anyway in the hopes that the dev will someday try to figure out a way to fix it.

Major Bug - Means that you think it is a pretty big problem and that you are the type that believes in getting what you pay for. It could also mean that you've tried all the solutions from this thread and you have become convinced that it is not a bandwidth problem but a bug in the app or server coding.

My vote: MAJOR BUG

Perhaps if a few days when all the votes are in that will tone down some of the misguided optimism.

To the Developer: I had to render my personal opinion regarding your last update. With all the people having problems with the operation of the software you spent time working on a new theme? Give me a break....

If it weren’t for the fact the first song loops several times, this program would absolutely amazing. I’ve been using Audiogalaxy which works fairly well but I’d much prefer to use the caching and snappy Subsonic. AG loads album art very slowly and has this bizarre habit of labeling my music incorrectly, which is particularly strange with me because all of my music was ripped from CD’s and labeled by me personally, so where it gets these names I have no idea. Please fix the looping issue and I’ll gladly pay you the recommend donation price for your product. Until then, I'm sticking with the competition.

Gouty, I had the same problem with Audiogalaxy. I fixed the mislabeling problem by changing the tags. I collect alot of "Greatest Hits" albums so each have different tags from being originally from different albums. My favorite tag program is "Mp3tag", it will access 'tag sources' and/or let you download different album art. However, disregard if you've already done this.

Fix confirmation?

Postby Jerard » Tue Dec 14, 2010 5:34 pm

Can anyone confirm that the latest update has fixed the repeat bug?

Coincidentally, this fix has come on the same day as my trail ended. I'd rather not go on 'blind faith' as to it working properly before I "donate".

I could, but I'm not going to. After all, who'd listen to a fanboy.

I disliked the update so much that I was actually dumb enough to make a second donation. Boy, am I dumb.

Sorry, just doing my best to answer the question from my limited perspective. All comments were self-refferential. :D

It did for me and my HTC Incredible.

Interestingly I didn't have this problem at first. I'm a new user and started with Android client v. 1.9. I did not have the repeat issue until I upgraded to 2.0.1 yesterday. I rolled back to 1.9 but the problem remained.

I was hopeful a fix was coming because I could see code checked in yesterday to SourcForge tagged as "Work-around for song restart bug".

It also adds other great stuff. Support for folder selection, and you can long press on any track to bring up a menu with some handy options.

i can confirm it is definitely better about the 1st track repeat issue...however i had problems with other tracks skipping/repeating, possibly due to bandwidth on mobile data? have to do some more trials but it seems we're headed in the right direction.

thanks sindre!
