The ability to specify the "save to phone" directory is a must. The only reason I use this app is to sync my music over wifi. I use another app to play. I added a 16gb micro SD to store my music and video library but It's kind of annoying to have to transfer my files after saving them to my phone.

Thanks
Sly.

Shuffle Amount

Postby kramttocs » Tue Nov 30, 2010 3:04 am

Sindre,
The recent update (offline shuffle) is great! used it countless times already.

Not to seem ungrateful, but it would be nice for both the offline and online shuffle on the Android app if there was a setting in the Settings where one could specify how many songs to add to the shuffled playlist. Perhaps increments of ten and then an 'All' option.

How about an option to send a Wake on Lan packet?

I have my unraid box setup to sleep after a certain time of no use and would be nice when I'm on the go to wake it automatically if I use phone to stream.

This may have been mentioned already, but the selection interface is inconsistent between music library view and search view. When listing music in library, there are nice big play/queue buttons, but in search there are no buttons, and a long or short click is required. My problem is that a short click adds the track to playlist and immediately starts playing it - not usually what I want, but easy to do by accident.

Ideally the search should have the same interface as music library - i.e. short click select, and then buttons to select all, play, queue.

Fantastic app btw - thanks!

Something I'd like to see, since I almost always have it in landscape mode, is to have the bottom five icons be hidden/toggled by the hard menu button. I think it would also help in portrait mode to see more on the screen when searching or looking through the library.
Keep up the great work.

I've mentioned it before, but for me the biggest need is the ability to add more SS sites. There are so many nice users in this community that are willing to share access to their great sites that I have a hard time deciding which ones to load prior to going on a road trip.

Truly impressive when you can drive around and listen to an online friend's site on the other side of the world!

I would love the ability to edit playlists better, remove song etc.

Also to fix the newest "access denied" bug

I'd like to add my +1 to the others who have requested jukebox capability to the android app. I love subsonic so much and this would make it that much more amazing!

First of all, I do love this app and it is one of the ones i use to show off my phone. There are a few features that I would love to see:

Show the name of album in now playing screen

from the now playing screen i want to be able to long press on the album art and then be able to navigate to the album or artist folder, often i am on shuffle and come across a song, and i want to hear the rest of the album or another song by that artist.

gesture controls

lyric support would be incredible

Could we have an Equaliser added?

Not a small request I know....

Or maybe work with the PowerAmp app people and allow it to use the streamed audio in its music player?

Probably aleady mentioned, but please, long click option for track info - e.g. album. Often I will search for tracks, play them, and then want to know what album they're on, or where stored. I can view album, but that involves a trip back to server. I just want ID3 info, and file directory info, al of which is available locally.

Is there a way to keep the album art from appearing in the Gallery? I'm aware of the ".nomedia" trick but I'd like to be able to browse my cached music via the music app still.

Any thoughts?

Playlist empty when going offline

Postby steave » Tue Dec 21, 2010 5:42 pm

I would like for the playlist to keep all cached songs when I go offline.

In many cases, I want to download songs from my computer before I go outside. I simply use the "queue" command and wait for all songs to be cached.

To avoid download of data over UMTS, I then want to go offline (server->offline). This does however clear the playlist, and I have to re-add everything.

Why not only remove those songs, that have not yet been cached in this case?

Android Gallery does NOT show "folder.jpg" files.

Android Gallery DOES show "folder.jpeg" files.

On my server, my entire library is using "folder.jpg" for cover art but the Android client seems to want to rename them to "folder.jpeg"

Sindre, can you please fix this in an update?

Subsonic is a -great- app (both on Android and as a webservice)!

Vote +1 for it!

All my podcast stuff is in Subsonic and it would be great to have it in the Androis app too!
