Tracks with apostrophe (')

A number of songs I have with an apostrophe (') do not load correctly in Subsonic. It is strange, because this seems to be random (some work and some don't).

One that is not correct shows like this in Subsonic:

(05) Why Can���t I Forget Him (feat. Nicole Wray)

But this track does work:

Feats Don't Fail Me Now

As a note, if I try to access the album with the broken tracks from my Android app, I get a message that says:

"Don't understand the reply. Please check the server address"

I noticed this problem on version 4.2. I upgraded to 4.3beta1 and the problem seemed to be fixed immediately, however the next time my music folders where scanned, the problem came back. Any thoughts?

I'm no expert on this, but I have music in my collection that has an apostrophe in it that never causes problems. I'm currently using ver. 4.3 beta, but I've never had an issue since I began using SS back in the 3.x versions. Based on the fact that I've not seen this issues raised here before, I think the problem may actually be in the files of you music library itself. I have seen threads where files that play can still be internally corrupted and cause problems with indexing, search, display, and playback. There are utilities out there that are designed to go through a music collection and clean up problems with the files automatically, or automagically as Alphawave 7 would say. Sorry I can't give you a better answer, but that would be my best guess.

Probably not rocket science but I thought I would add another apostrophe (') related issue I have found with the server software.

For resons I do not recall when I created my music Folder I called is \mp3's!
Windows, Itunes etc had no problems finding this folder.
However on installing the Subsonic Server Service on Win7-64bit and getting it to scan for music files returned nothing.
Once I renamed the folder as \mp3s its found the music files straight away.
So of you are having issues with apostrophes (') defnately dont put them in the folder name structure!
